Mentorship Programmes
As we have grown, the notion of giving back has become a cornerstone to the UCL Guild. Our societies host diversity events that ensure an inclusive community with multiple perspectives and skill sets.
Our social outreach initiatives aim to reduce opportunity inequality, helping youth from disadvantaged backgrounds build successful future careers.

As the largest and the most successful scheme across universities in the UK, the UCL Investment Society Mentorship Programme offers one-on-one support for students pursuing careers in finance.
Each year, through the help of over 100 mentors, this programme enables more than 200 ambitious students (40% from STEM backgrounds) to achieve a success rate of 50% in applying for prestigious firms with Goldman Sachs, J.P.Morgan, Credit Suisse and Citi among many more.

UCL Business Society offers a highly selective Consulting Mentorship Programme. With over 10 applicants per place, this scheme provides one-to-one mentorship and exclusive access for 16 of the most qualified students. Our mentees frequently receive offers from PWC, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, and many other competitive firms.

The Bloomsbury Startup Academy is UCLe’s exciting new startup accelerator, expanding on the past success of the Moonshot Launchpad. In helping budding student entrepreneurs navigate the difficult early stages of their startup creation, we’ve already supported dozens of groups in their journey of innovation and enterprise – and we can’t wait to help more!
With a new remit of leading an alliance comprising UCL’s premier technical societies, the BSA helps startup ideas ranging from VR surgery to window-washing drones.

The UCL Women in Finance Mentorship Programme aims to educate, equip, and empower students to realise their full potentials at university. Connecting 20 first-year mentees and senior mentors, this newly launched scheme has established a supportive community of women committed to building each other since 2019.
